NT scan update (updated)

We had our NT scan this morning. I was soooo nervous beforehand, but it went really well! We got to hear our baby's heartbeat for the first time - it was 158 bpm today, which is great :)

There was no sign of any abnormalities at all - baby has a nasal bone and the NT measurement was 2mm, which is well within normal range.

Baby is measuring 12 weeks 6 days, and I'm 12 weeks 4 days. We're very happy with that!

We saw the heart, brain, kidneys, stomach and even a tiny hand! It was a truly amazing experience. The tech couldn't be certain, but thinks the baby might be a girl. We don't have any preference, but I've been thinking girl for a while. We'll see at our 18-20 week scan, anyway!

We're in love :)

Looked like baby was waving!

Edited 11/6/12 to add: I completely forgot to write about my SCH yesterday, but I'm very happy to report that it's gone now. What a relief! :)

  1. Wow, great ultrasound pics! Sounds like your due date is very close to mother's day :) Any word on your SCH?

    1. Thanks Star! :) Yep, close to mother's day - don't think my OB will change my due date again, though, she'll probably stick with 5/16 which is what my dating scan said. I can't believe I forgot to write about the SCH! It's completely gone now - it's wonderful news! :)

  2. Yay! And yay again for hearing the heartbeat!

    1. The whole thing was just awesome :) We got to see the blood flow within the cord too, amazing stuff really! Still can't stop smiling!!
